Ricardo Taveras, se pronunci\u00f3 en su cuenta de X (anteriormente Twitter) sobre la muerte de Ellen Frances Hulett, conocida como Ezri Hajiune, una ciudadana estadounidense que falleci\u00f3 tras pasar tres meses detenida en el Centro de Retenci\u00f3n Vacacional de Haina.<\/p>\n<p>Taveras hizo un llamado a la prudencia y pidi\u00f3 evitar las especulaciones que han surgido en torno a las circunstancias de su deceso.<\/p>\n<p>Aclar\u00f3 que, aunque la retenci\u00f3n administrativa se asemeja a una prisi\u00f3n preventiva, no se rige por el mismo plazo de 48 horas estipulado en el \u00e1mbito penal.<\/p>\n<p>Explic\u00f3 que se trata de una medida administrativa mientras se resuelve la situaci\u00f3n migratoria del detenido, como la deportaci\u00f3n o regularizaci\u00f3n de su que apuntan a una posible violaci\u00f3n o circunstancias violentas en torno a la muerte de Hulett, Taveras descalific\u00f3 estas afirmaciones como especulaciones infundadas y aclar\u00f3 que la versi\u00f3n sobre una violaci\u00f3n ya ha sido desmentida.<\/p>\n<p>Afirm\u00f3 que, hasta que no se presenten pruebas en contrario, cree en la desmentida de dicha versi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\">\n<div id=\"aswift_3_host\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>El exfuncionario enfatiz\u00f3 que es importante esperar los resultados de la necropsia antes de hacer conclusiones apresuradas, recordando que \u00abtodo vivo est\u00e1 sujeto a fallecer en cualquier momento\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con Taveras, ser\u00eda \u00e9ticamente incorrecto presuponer responsabilidades sin contar con la evidencia necesaria.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente, expres\u00f3 su confianza en que la Direcci\u00f3n General de Migraci\u00f3n llevar\u00e1 a cabo una investigaci\u00f3n transparente, y subray\u00f3 que, si se detectan irregularidades durante las investigaciones forenses, ser\u00e1 la justicia la encargada de determinar las responsabilidades correspondientes.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de las especulaciones, no descart\u00f3 que el deceso se haya debido a razones naturales en circunstancias desafortunadas.<\/p>\n<p>Mientras tanto, la madre de Ellen Frances Hulett y diversas organizaciones de derechos humanos siguen exigiendo una investigaci\u00f3n exhaustiva y la m\u00e1xima transparencia en el manejo del
